Market value (market cap), explained simply
Price x the coins in circulation - how big a coin is.
Market value is the price of one coin multiplied by how many coins are in circulation. It is how coins are ranked: Bitcoin is #1 because its market value is the largest.
A low price does not mean a coin is cheap. A coin at $0.001 with a trillion coins can be worth more in total than one at $100.
