Limit order and market order, explained simply
Name your price (limit) or take the best price now (market).
A market order buys or sells immediately at whatever price is available. A limit order only fills at your price or better - it may wait, or never fill.
Limit orders also often pay a lower fee on exchanges, because they add to the order book.
